I'm making progress. I actually went and checked out the Showcase gallery in Costa Mesa. It's very nice. Now, I'm having one of those I'm not worthy moments. Somehow I always think my art isn't good enough. Hey I can join the gallery. What's the worst that could happen....They reject my art. So what if I don't take the stuff in I'll never know if I could have sold it.

Art Marketing

It was a productive day at the Art Marketing Salon. I was invited to show my art at the gift shop of the gallery. that is way cool. I also worked on changing my business cards to reflect what I do in each thing. I now have an art card, a writer card, and a tutor card. Now I'll just have to decide who I hand each kind too.....

Busy Weekend

WOW was that a busy weekend.

Saturday started at the crack of dawn with our ATM cooking. My husband and I coordinate the church's cooking for AIDs patients. Always fun, but then we had the board meeting, potluck dinner, and choir concert to attend. One thing after another. I'm so glad I took a nap!

Sunday was also busy. I hosted the art group's collage workshop. I'm so relieved. We had good attendance. Eight women showed up and made collages. I had a great time. Fun stuff.

I had a great time meeting the other women in the artbiz marketing salon. I felt a little out of my league as the are all farther along in their careers, but I want to learn and get me work out there. It's good to stretch and reach higher. I'll make it.

I'm going to my first Art Marketing Salon today. I do very well on marketing my writing and tutoring. Getting my art out there is hard. I'm excited to connect with other artists who are working on the same issues.

Sorting Hat Quiz

Okay that was really fun. I took several on-line sorting hat quizes and they all said the same thing. How funny! Getting in the mood for Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows.

Well, I'm playing around with my website. I feel that it's time for a change. I haven't been a doula for a long time. I'm a tutor and writer/artist now. TIme to update the webpage and start with the blog entries.
